Another Appt. and Nothing Major to Report

I went to the OB yesterday at 38 weeks 2 days.  They have not done an internal and therefore I have no idea whether or not I've dilated or if I'm effaced or anything.  Heartbeat is still great and according to the OB the baby is definitely moving down.  Since the baby isn't in any distress there is no reason to do anything at this point.  I have been having contractions every once in awhile and have experienced the "lightening" pain that people talk about.  

Next week on Dec. 4th, I have another appointment.  At this appointment, we will get an u/s done to check on his size.  I guess that will be the determining factor of what will be done plus I'll finally get an internal!  They have told me before that if the baby is too big for me to push out, my body will not let me go into labor.  So I'm assuming that this will end up being a c-section.  We definitely won't know until Thursday or if JP decides to come out on his own before then.  

Otherwise, everything is ready for JP to get here.  His bed is ready, his clothes are washed, I finally got the glider, and we even put together the bouncer and swing.  The car seat is in the car and so is the extra base.  My hospital bag and the snap and go are in the trunk.  All we need now is for JP to get here.  

I'm starting to get a little impatient but at the same time....I'm glad he's waiting until December to arrive.  I really want him to be born after his cousin Daniela's birthday (which is tomorrow).

I finished up my christmas shopping except for our parents.  I still haven't gotten them done.  But I figured it will be a gift that incorporates JP some how.  I bought JP's stocking and still have to get a baby's 1st christmas ornament.  

I'm finally taking off starting Dec. 1st.  I'm super tired and really swollen.  Plus, I'm terrified of going into labor at work.  I don't think I did too bad....working until my 38th week....is pretty good I think.  

To all those reading....pray that all goes well and that JP arrives safely and in good health.  And also pray that I don't stress out and kill Vlad.  LOL  Seriously, I just want everything to go well and quickly.
